In accordance with state health guidelines, the Shakopee Ice Arena is not offering public skating, youth open hockey or developmental hockey at this time. figure skating development is available in prearranged time slots. 

The Shakopee Ice Arena offers a variety of public skating opportunities throughout the year. 

Figure Skating Development

Figure skaters are invited to work on their skating skills either individually or through private lessons with an instructor. A limited number of summer monthly passes are available for $180. For more information, contact Trudy Oltmanns at toltmanns@ShakopeeMN.gov.

Open Skating

Open to all, enjoy skating at the Shakopee Ice Arena. Open skating is free with a Community Center membership or included with the purchase of a daily pass.

Youth Open Hockey

Youth open hockey sessions are generally designed for skaters who want to skate with full gear, a stick, and a puck.  Different than open skate sessions where skaters just skate. Skaters can work on skills or play small hockey games with friends.  $5 per skater or free for community center members.

Developmental Hockey Times

Developmental Hockey time is a public, summer session that offers skaters an opportunity to work on their skating skills either individually or through private lessons with an instructor. Fee is $8.

Rules:

  • All skaters (anyone taking a lesson/working on a skill) must pay before taking the ice.
  • A helmet and mouth guard are required.
