Newly constructed in 2016, the Shakopee Ice Arena is year round for practices, games, recreational skating, lessons, camps and tournaments by local and surrounding community organizations. It includes two sheets of ice, locker rooms, pro shop and bleacher seating for 900 (Rink 1) and 335 (Rink 2). The arena is next door to the Shakopee Community Center.

The city-operated arena is home to the Shakopee High School boys and girls hockey teams and the Shakopee Youth Hockey Association. It also offers skating lessons for all ages, in addition to open skating and other skate programs.

Rental skates are also available for ice arena functions at a cost of $5 per pair and are available in all sizes.
