CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATES: City facilities are open to the public. Find the latest updates at

Quarry Lake Park is a popular place for those who love water-based activities. A home for the Shakopee-Prior Lake Shockwaves Water Skiing Team, trout fishermen, canoers and kayakers, the lake and its adjacent park are a frequented amenity. With all this activity, there is room to make improvements to improve accessibility and add new activities such a multi-mile mountain bike trail.

Park improvements include:

  • Three-mile mountain bike course
  • Ski club  boat launch
  • Upgrades to playground

Alignment to Community Priorities and Goals

The redesign of this park creates an opportunity for the city to provide premium athletics facilities for mountain bikers and water skiers while also teaming with private partners to support community infrastructure.

Construction is anticipated to start 2020.
