2026 Daily Admission Prices
The daily user fee includes the aquatic center, fitness center, fitness classes, gym, and open skate. Admission or membership is required for all entering the facility beyond the front desk, including spectators. This does not apply to registered, fee-based programs or classes.

Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express are accepted. All users must present a valid picture ID. To qualify for the resident rate, you must reside within the city limits of Shakopee.

Our Commitment
The Shakopee Community Center is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate environment for all guests. We set age-based access guidelines to balance youth independence with appropriate supervision and ensure staff can consistently enforce expectations.
School ID = Our Way to Verify Age and Access
Grade level is used as the primary determining factor for youth access and supervision requirements. This approach allows staff to utilize school IDs for age verification when government-issued IDs are not always available.
What Counts as a Valid School ID?
School identification must include:
- Current Academic Year
- Student Name
- Student Grade
- Student Photo
School ID may be presented as a physical ID card, through a school app on a mobile device, or through the school's online student portal. Shakopee Public Schools students may use Infinite Campus to provide this information.
No School ID? If grade level cannot be verified, additional supervision will be required for that visit.
For future independent access, a parent or guardian must accompany the youth to the Community Center to verify their grade level and provide consent. Staff will then issue a Community Center Access Card that can be used in place of a school ID.

Amenity-specific age guidelines will continue to be required for the Fitness Center, Group Fitness Classes and Indoor Aquatic Center
Supervision must be provided by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult. Responsible adult is defined as someone age 16 years or older.
Youth Access Policy (PDF)
The Lookout indoor playground features a variety of play elements for ages 10 and under! With several slides, climbing areas, sensory stations, and a dedicated play area for toddlers, this indoor playground is the best bang for a caregiver's buck!
Socks are required and can be purchased at the front desk of the Community Center. Cubbies are available for shoes, coats, and other items, but the Community Center is not responsible for any items lost or stolen. Guests are welcome to bring water bottles into The Lookout and can store them in the cubby area.

Participants must be 15 years of age to use the fitness equipment without conditions. Youth ages 12-14 may use the fitness center equipment after attending a fitness orientation and must be accompanied by an adult.

The majority of gym time is scheduled for family and individual open gym. This is a time for all ages to come in and enjoy the gym. No “team” activities or half and full courts pick-up games allowed. Individuals may play mini-games at one hoop but are not guaranteed exclusive use of the basket.
To participate in open gym, members and residents will receive a wristband from the guest service desk. Participants without a wristband may be asked to show proof of residency, membership, or find a different activity.
The gym is also home to other options like open pickleball, with nets and pickleballs available for general use, CC Playtime, which is a great option to get the little ones out of the house to play, and other programs that Shakopee Parks and Recreation offers.

Additional indoor aquatic center amenities include a sauna, hot tub, and men’s, women’s, and individual changing rooms. Local artist Greg Preslicka created the murals in the pools.
The aquatic center is open at select times for lap swim, open swim, swim lessons, tot time, and other fun events.

Visitors can also use the Community Room, adjacent to the lounge, daily until noon. Outside of any planned events, this is a great area to do a puzzle, play cards, or just visit with friends!
