The Shakopee Community Center offers fitness equipment, gyms, a walking track, an indoor aquatic center, an indoor playground, fitness classes, and meeting spaces. It is also home to the Shakopee Ice Arena, Ṡakpe ti Lounge, and the Shakopee Skate Park.

Community Center Memberships
Visit the Community Center for a morning of fun! Bring your clean trikes, riding toys, or play items to use in addition to what is provided. A parent or guardian is required to be in the gym with their children.
When: Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30-11 a.m., October 1, 2025 - April 29, 2026.
$4 Resident/$6 Non-Resident per child or free with Community Center Membership.
The gymnasium also hosts in-house programs, events, practices, and rentals. Call the Community Center Front Desk at 952-233-9500 to confirm gym availability.
Overlooking the gymnasium is a three-lane walking/jogging track. The track is equal to approximately 14 laps per mile. There is no charge to use the track. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or adult. Please sign in at the front desk. Strollers are permitted to use the inside lane of the track from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Teens ages 15 to 17 years old are required to obtain a free access tag for the Shakopee Community Center. This tag is required for all teens using the Community Center. Teens who are already members of the Community Center are not required to obtain an access tag.
Teens can get their tag by visiting the front desk at the Community Center with their parent or legal guardian. Youth and their parents are required to sign our behavior standards in-person.
Youth Access Agreement and Terms
Anyone under 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult 18+ to visit the Community Center and participate in the use of our amenities.
Teens aged 15 to 17 years old are required to obtain a free teen access tag for the Shakopee Community Center. This tag is required for all teens using the Community Center. Teens who are already members of the Community Center are not required to obtain an access tag.

- Gym users ages 14 and under must be under the direct supervision of an individual 18 or over within the gym.
- Gym users must be 15 to use the equipment unaccompanied.
- Gym users ages 12 - 14 must take a fitness orientation class (AFO) and sign a waiver in order to use the fitness equipment.
- Gym users ages 12 - 14 with the preceding training must also be accompanied by a parent at all times within the fitness equipment area.
- 15 and older may attend fitness classes, 12 - 14 must be accompanied by a parent to attend. No AFO required.
- Age 6 and under must be actively supervised by an adult or individual age 16+ in the water and at arm’s reach.
- Age 7-14 must be actively supervised by an adult within the pool facility.
- Must be 15 to use the spa and sauna.
