Community Policing

The Shakopee Police Department’s community policing efforts focus on building strong community relationships through hands-on engagement and education.

The department's public outreach programs include Picnic with Police, Night to Unite, school resource officer partnerships,  free car seat safety checks, and officer visits by request. These initiatives aim to foster trust, improve public safety, and encourage resident involvement in crime prevention.
