Go Behind the Scenes
Our Community Academy is a unique opportunity for community members to see first-hand what goes into making Shakopee a safer community. This free academy is an opportunity to get a "behind the scenes" look at the Shakopee Police Department. Participants must be 16 years of age or older (parent permission required for 16-17 year-olds).New in Fall 2026
For our Fall 2026 Academy, we will be joined by Shakopee Fire! This is an opportunity to get a look inside operations at both the police and fire departments.Sessions will be on Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m. on the following dates:
