CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATES: City facilities are closed until further notice. Shakopee City Hall will reopen to the public beginning Monday, June 1. The Shakopee Police Department, Shakopee Public Works and Shakopee Ice Arena will also reopen for public business.

The Shakopee Community Center remains closed in accordance with state orders.

The city recently completed extending sanitary sewer service to east Shakopee. The project included jacking a sewer pipe under County Highway 16 at Muhlenhardt Road, open cutting approximately 150’ of sewer pipe on Muhlenhardt Road near County Highway 16, directional drilling the remaining sewer under Muhlenhardt Road to Horizon Drive with open cuts to install manholes every 400 feet.

Replacement and restoration of the adjacent boulevards, landscaping and driveways were also completed as necessary.  

The city will move forward with removing the Whispering Oaks Lift Station.
