Government Access Television
Government access cable television provides information about government and community programs, services, events, and issues with the goal of increasing residents' access to local government meetings and information. Shakopee Government TV is available to Comcast cable subscribers in Shakopee as part of the “basic” cable packages.
Funding and Franchise Agreements
Funding for government access television is appropriated by the City Council from the annual franchise fees received as a result of the operation of the cable television system in the City of Shakopee.
