Election Day Voting

Voting on Election Day

Polling places are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. As long as you're in line by 8 p.m., you can vote, even if you don't reach the front of the line until after 8 p.m.

In Minnesota, you can register or update your registration at your polling place on Election Day. Find out what you'll need to bring with you.

At a polling place, campaigning is not allowed and political materials cannot be worn. For more information about polling place rules, visit the Minnesota Secretary of State website.
