Portion of First Avenue closed
A portion of First Avenue East is closed between Lewis Street and Holmes Street. The closure allows area businesses to set up temporary customer service areas in light of the state's current health guidelines.
Sealcoating continues this week
The city's annual sealcoating operations are underway. On June 5, crews plan to finish Crossings Boulevard before moving south to Horizon Drive, Sunset Court and Muhlenhardt Road.
Please watch for yellow no parking signs along impacted streets. All vehicles, including trailers and campers, must be removed from the street.
County Highway 42 closed until August 2020
County Highway 42 is closed between County Highway 17 (Marschall Road) and County Highway 83 (Mystic Lake Drive) until August for the County Highway 42 Reconstruction Project. Detour route is County Highway 16 (17th Avenue).
Second Avenue East, Fourth Avenue closed through 2020
To facilitate redevelopment of the former city hall site, the westbound lane of Second Avenue East is closed between Lewis Street and Holmes Street. The public parking lot will be permanently removed as part of the redevelopment project. Intermittent alley closures are also likely. The closure is expected to last through December 2020.
Fourth Avenue is also closed between Fuller Street and Atwood Street through December 2020. The closure is necessary for the Scott County Government Center Campus Improvement project.
Pedestrian bridge at Memorial Park removed
The Minnesota Valley State Trail's Mill Pond channel pedestrian crossing is closed. The bridge, located on the northern edge of Memorial Park, has been removed. The city is working with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and other partners to explore options for repairing, replacing or completely removing the bridge.
