Benedictine Health System will be constructing a new senior living complex within the larger Windermere development on the southwest corner of 17th Avenue and Marystown Road. The development will turn vacant land into 183 new senior living units which will encompass independent living, assisted living and memory care. The development will reserve land for future phases in order to respond to likely future demand increases. 

Alignment to Community Priorities and Goals

The development fits with the goals and priorities of the community and the comprehensive plan by offering high quality senior living in a variety of care levels giving more Shakopee residents options of staying within the community as they age. Another portion of this development will be constructing a lift station for water service which will be able to provide future residents south and west of this site with municipal water service.

Community Impact

The Benedictine Health System campus will offer high-quality senior living for a variety of care levels. The project will expand the footprint of a high-quality health care provider in BHS in Shakopee and offer residents further options for remaining in the community as they age.
