Yard waste season to start April 20

Post Date:04/16/2020 11:00 am

Republic Services will start its yard waste season Monday, April 20.

Residents with annual yard waste subscription services can place their bin at the street at 6:30 a.m. on their regular collection day. Residents using one-time bag pickup should contact Republic Services in advance to schedule pick-up service.

The temporary yard waste dumpster at 500 Gorman St. will be removed at noon Friday, April 17.

Republic Services will not be issuing pro-rated services for the one week of delayed yard waste pickup. The city’s contract with Republic does not stipulate a specific start date since weather often impacts when the season begins.

If you have questions about Republic’s yard waste services or would like to cancel your service, please contact Republic’s customer service at 952-941-5174.

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community’s Organics Recycling Facility is not accepting yard waste drop off. The spring free drop-off events have been canceled.
