Schenian Street to open, change Canterbury Park access
Schenian Street will open to the public Tuesday, Oct. 1 and serve as the new access route to Canterbury Park. The current bypass road off Vierling Drive and onto the Canterbury access road will be permanently closed at that time.
There will be a temporary speed limit reduction on Eagle Creek Boulevard from the current 50 to 40 miles per hour for drivers to get accustomed to cars making turns onto and out of Schenian Street.
The Canterbury access road heading west into the roundabout will also open to the public, serving as the entrance to the new Triple Crown at Canterbury clubhouse, as the complex will begin tours and apartment leasing for the apartments currently under construction. Shenandoah Drive will remain closed from Eastway Avenue/Barensheer Boulevard to Vierling Drive as the contractors continue to finish the Shenandoah Drive construction project. The Vierling Drive/12th Avenue intersection is closed due to the 12th Avenue Reconstruction Project.
