Register your neighborhood for 2019 Night to Unite

Registration is now open for Shakopee's Night to Unite celebration Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Police officers pose with people holding masksDozens of Shakopee neighborhoods will be celebrating community and bringing awareness to the city’s crime and drug prevention efforts at the annual event that runs from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Many neighborhoods host special events such as block parties, cookouts, visits from the police and fire department, youth contests and raffles.

This year's event will have a "Play Ball" theme. Early registrants have a chance to win a four-pack of tickets to the Minnesota Twins.

Register your neighborhood to receive visits from Shakopee Police squad cars, Shakopee Fire trucks, Public Works trucks, city officials and more. Register online at

Deadline for registration is July 15. Please note: Registration is not a guarantee your party will receive a visit by the Fire Department or Public Works Department. The city receives dozens of requests each year and is not able to accommodate all of them. The Police Department plans to attend every registered party.

Also, back by popular demand is the Night to Unite photo contest. New this year is a dog photo contest. The winner will receive a gift basket from Chuck & Don's. Be sure to have your camera out, ready to capture all the fun!
