On April 25, 2019, at approximately 6:37 a.m., Shakopee Police officers were dispatched to a domestic assault in the 1200 block of Taylor Street in the City of Shakopee.

There were two victims. One was transported to St. Francis Regional Medical Center and the other to Hennepin County Medical Center. Both victims are in stable condition and are expected to survive their injuries.

The suspect, a 30-year-old female, is in custody.

It should be noted, the suspect was apprehended immediately, and from the preliminary investigation it appears this was an act of domestic violence, not a random act. There is no indication there is a threat to the general public.

Investigators from the Shakopee Police Department are investigating the incident.
