What motivates you to serve the city?

Updated: 01/21/2020

Ever wondered how you could get more involved with city government?

One of the most impactful ways is by serving on an advisory board or commission. These commissions are an integral part of the city’s decision-making process, as they provide recommendations to the City Council on a variety of issues.

The city is seeking engaged community members to participate in the process. Two current members -- Planning Commission Member Ashlee Sepulvado and Park and Recreation Advisory Board Member Kyle Verley -- explain what motivates them to be involved.

Now, it's your chance to apply to serve on a city board or commission at through Jan. 31. Questions? Contact the City Clerk's Office at 952-233-9300.
