Party with Parks and Recreation

Updated: 09/12/2019

Planning your child’s birthday party can be a big undertaking. We’ve all been there – What to do? What to eat? Who to invite? While we can’t do all the work for your party, we can help reduce the stress, as the Shakopee Community Center has many options to make your child’s birthday party a success.

You can choose from Nerf battles, gym activities, Pokémon, playground or pool parties. Starting this fall, we have two NEW options your child will love. We are excited to introduce Nerf Battle Xtreme, a more challenging version of our original Nerf battle. It’s a hosted party with amped-up music, light show and new obstacles with great places to hide and spy.

We are also excited to introduce a new and improved Party on Ice Package! Does your child and his or her friends like to skate? The Shakopee Ice Arena has created a new space that will make having a skating party a cool celebration. Party on Ice parties are non-hosted, but participants will get to skate in our premier Rink 1 and then open presents in our new meeting room in the lobby. This party includes skating for up to 12 participants, two-hour room rental (skating for one hour), paper products, goodie bags and rental skates, if you need them. Party on Ice packages are scheduled during regular open skate and open hockey times.

To learn more about all our party packages, visit our Birthday Party page. Let us help you plan a party your child will remember and their friends will talk about all year.
