We are taking the opportunity to help warm up the lives of Shakopee residents this winter. New and gently used coats, scarves, hats, gloves and boots in all sizes will be collected from November 5th – December 8th in the Shakopee Police Department’s lobby. Donations will first be distributed to our Shop with a Cop families December 12th and items not taken will be given to the Community Action Partnership (CAP) for local people in need.

The Winter Coat Drive is great opportunity to clean out your closet and help others at the same time. So, take a look – you may have gently worn coats in your closets that are outgrown or no longer needed that will be appreciated by those less fortunate.

Most of us take for granted the ability to pull on our warm coats when the winds start to blow, and the temperatures drop, but others in our community are not so lucky. Please take a look through your closets and consider donating gently used winter gear to our drop off location.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity,
