The City is home to Minnesota’s largest outdoor amusement park, Valleyfair Amusement Park; the historic 1880s village and park, The Landing; and the one of the state’s two horseracing tracks, Canterbury Park. In addition, Shakopee is home to many annual events, including Shakopee Derby Days, a five-day community festival held the first weekend in August. The City’s Parks & Recreation Department also hosts many fun, family activities throughout the year.
