NOTICE: Enigma Teen Center will be closing March 31, 2016, to make way for the Community Center/Ice Arena improvements project. The teen center will be closed during the remodeling and is expected to reopen in its new space in June 2017.

Enigma is a 5,000-square-foot teen center located within the Shakopee Community Center for kids in sixth through 12th-grade. There is no cost to hang out at Enigma during drop in times. Small charges may apply for special events.

What is there to do at Enigma? Live band shows, dance at a DJ event, play PS3, XBOX 360, Nintendo, catch a movie on the 52-inch TV, play foosball, pool, Ping-Pong, air hockey, pop-a-shot and more. Video games and movies are available for free checkout.  A comfortable and fun atmosphere to socialize.

Enigma is governed by a Teen Advisory Board that represents the users of the facility. The Parks and Recreation Department oversees the Board of Enigma and provides one adult staff person at all times.

The Teen Advisory Board is comprised of sixth- through 12th-graders who want to get involved in planning, implementing, operating and making the teen center their own.  Get involved and make a difference!  Work with staff and other teens to make Enigma a great place to hang out. New members always welcome.  Advisory Board meetings are at 4 p.m. every Thursday.
