The Bicycle Advisory Committee promoted active living and provide safe and accessible routes to cyclists in the community. The committee is responsible for promoting commuter and recreational bicycling, advocating for bicycling infrastructure improvements, encouraging safe riding through education and involving residents to become interested in bicycling issues throughout the city.
The committee focuses on five strategic areas to help create a bike friendly community:
- Evaluation/planning
- Encouragement
- Enforcement
- Engineering
- Education
The group advises the Park and Recreation Advisory Board. Members serve staggered three-year terms.

- Fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers
